Global West Suspension now supplies a lower control arm for the 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, and 1964 Impala that supports airbags.
The CTA-84B lower control arm (for airbag applications) has a mount that accommodates an airbag resting on top of the control arm, which can also be used for hydraulics. There is no pocket to get in the way of the airbag side walls, thus no chaffing. The plate for the airbag has slots machined into it to accommodate most air bags.
For air bag applications only
The sway bar mounting plate adds support to the ball joint area.
Straps are used around the bushing housings, strengthening the housing to the tube.
