Product Information:Adjustable Panhard Rod or Track Bar for Impala 1965-70 Link #PHC-50Global West manufactures a adjustable panhard rod for 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, and 1970 Impalas, which are used for locating the rear end laterally.
Anytime you raise or lower the ride height of the car, the rear end shifts to one side or the other. If you are maximizing your tire and rim package, this will be a problem. The tire can hit the fender during suspension travel. By installing a Global West adjustable panhard rod, (also called a track bar), you can fix the problem.
The Global West AdvantageThe adjustable panhard rod is an easy bolt on and in a few minutes you can center the rear end. You can be adjusted the rod and center the rear end while it is on the car. The rod has a hex adjuster located towards the passenger side that when rotated shifts the rear end side to side. After the adjustments are made, tighten down the jam nuts and you are ready to drive away.
Note: All adjustments for centering should be done with the vehicle resting on the suspension, not in the air.
