If you need to adjust your ride height and raise the vehicle, Global West offers spring spacers one eight inch thick that increase the ride height one quarter of a inch.
The formula “one at the spring is two at the body” holds true. The spring spacer goes underneath the lower arm spring cushion. It basically sets in the bottom of the control arm.
The spring shim will fit Global West arms on 1964-72 Chevelle, GTO, 442, Buick GS, Cutlass, Skylark, 1968-74 Nova, Ventura, 1967-69 Camaro and Firebird, 1955-57 Chevy Tri Five, and 1958-64 Impala, Biscayne, El Camino.
The shims fit the following lower control arms from Global West — CTA-79L, CTA-42L, CTA-42LP, CTA-79LP, CTA-84L, and CTA-57L
