Description
Raising or lowering the ride height on a 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970 Impala, Caprice, Bel Air or Biscayne laterally moves the rear end out of center in the chassis. This causes tire clearance problems if you have maximized your tire-wheel package. You would also notice a distinct handling difference between right and left hand turns. A simple solution to the problem is to install a Global West rear adjustable panhard rod, also called a track bar.
The rod attaches to the frame in the stock location and the adjusting side of the rod attaches to the rear end. Adjustments are made easy simply by rotating the adjuster in our out of the rod. With a little bit of measuring you can center the rear end in the car.
Installation is fast and general hand tools are all that is required.
