Description
The Global West rear adjustable control arms make setting pinion angle easy. Made for the GTO, Grand Prix, Lemans, and Tempest (model years–1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, and 1977), the control arm is designed with right and left-hand threads on the adjuster so the arm does not have to be removed in order to adjust the length. Jam nuts secure the position after adjustment. Adjustable upper arms are required if you are installing a nine inch Ford rear end.
High misalignment spherical bearings are located on the frame side allowing the rear end to have proper movement. The rear end upper pivot mounts, for street and handling applications, should use rubber bushings.
Note: If you use polyurethane bushings on the rear end upper mounts, the rear end will go into bind at the outer limits of travel. Rubber bushings will allow for any additional movement required.
