Description
For GM applications: Global West Suspension sells anti-squat brackets, which are used to reduce squat during hard acceleration, for the 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, and 1992 Camaro.
Excessive squat will cause the rear tires to spin. Adjusting the lower control arm down at the rear end will change the percentage of anti-squat, thus increasing the amount of traction. Kit #VTC-27 installs on the rear end (welding required) and provides two additional adjustments.
Global West Tech Tip: When you lower the car, you change the angle of the rear lower control arm. The lower arm now points down. This directly affects how the car hooks up. The lower arms should point up for the rear suspension to be effective. The anti-squat kit will allow you to readjust the angle of the lower arm increasing traction.
