Sometimes, the Corvette front suspension from 1963-1982 can use help with repairing the alignment camber or caster issues. The shaft, when rotated in the arm, can increase positive or negative camber depending on how you install the shaft on the car. It can be used with stock upper control arms and most aftermarket tubular a-arms.
We recommend installing the shaft so the “Global West” lettering on the cross shaft faces the engine. This pushes the upper ball joint out, allowing you to increase caster and still maintain camber.
Normally, when using a stock cross shaft, you can not get enough caster without generating too much negative camber. The offset shaft fixes the problem. You can flip the shaft and pull the tire in for more negative camber so you don’t have to use so many shims. This decision will be based of the frame condition or type of driving you intend to do.
