Global West Suspension manufactures convertible subframe connectors for 1964, 1965, and 1966 Mustangs. Convertibles, by nature, flex more than coupes and fastbacks, so reinforcing the floor pan is a given. Global West connectors are powder-coated black and come with instructions and additional gussets
We use round tubing 1.625 od x .125 wall DOM material. The connector extends past the rear spring eye and welds to the rear torque box. No cutting of the floor is required because we made sure the floor pan would remain intact.

Rocker rail supports and jacking rails are also available for additional support. This unit is supplied in kit form and should be welded on at the time of the main subframe for best results.
Round tube subframes (per given weight) resist torsional twist better than square tube versions. They provide the least amount of weight while remaining very effective. Additionally, round tubes allow the subframe to tuck up as high as possible for maximum ground clearance.
