Global West manufactures subframe connectors for 1964, 1965, and 1966 Mustangs. Rocker rail supports and jacking rails are also available for additional support. This unit is supplied in a kit form and should be welded on at the time of the main subframe for best results.
Older unibody constructed chassis by age alone are going to flex more than current Mustangs, so reinforcing the floor pan is a given.
Global West uses round tubing 1.625 od x .125 wall DOM material. The connector extends past the rear spring eye and welds to the rear torque box. No cutting of the floor is required. Global West made sure the floor pan would remain intact.

Round tube subframes (per given weight) resist torsional twist better than square tube versions. They provide the least amount of weight while remaining very effective. Additionally, round tubes allow the subframe to tuck up as high as possible for maximum ground clearance.
