Global West understands the need for supporting the rear shock mount area on 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963 and 1964 Impala, El Camino and Biscayne. The reason for the rear shock mount is due to the use of air shocks and coil over applications. When installing a coil over kit or air shock, you're transferring the load of the cars weight from the lower control arm location to the shock location which was never designed to support the weight of the vehicle. Adding the crossmember strengthens that area and supports the new load. This basically reduces the possibility of damaging the frame at that location. The TS-84C is automatically included in our coil over kits for 58-64 Impalas, and due to popular demand, we now have it listed as an individual part. https://www.globalwest.netimpala-rear-shock-crossmember-1958-1959-1960-1961-1962-1963-1964-elcamino-biscayne.html $127.15
