The latest kit from Global West features the CTA-37A tubular upper control arms for GTO, Grand Prix, Lemans, and Tempest (model years--1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, and 1977. It is not just another tubular arm. The CTA-37 is built with 1-1/4 inch diameter roll cage tubing, a .187 wall cross brace to reduce flex and maintain control arm strength. Straps are also located at the bushing housing, increasing the control arm strength. New geometry is introduced into the control arm providing greater stability. CTA-37A Upper Control Arms Feature: 1. Increased Caster with 5-1/2 degrees of positive caster built into the control arm, straight line stability and corner entry is dramatically improved. 2. Camber curve is improved for high speed maneuvering. 3. Special bump stop mounted on the cross brace provides full drop protection for the ball joints. 4. Stock upper ball joints are used. 5. Built cross shafts are standard with all assembled control arms. 6. Standard upper bushing or polyurethane can be used. However TOP OF THE LINE DEL-A-LUM bushings are considered standard for Global West control arms. 7. Control arms are Tig and Mig welded. 8. CNC machined components assure proper jig fitment. 9. Control arms are powder coated black. 10. Special billet shafts are Gold Zinc. 11. No modifications are required. They are designed for direct replacement.
