Tubular tie rod adjusting sleeves for the 1967, 1968, and 1969 Camaro are commonly used for performance applications. These particular sleeves are made out of aluminum. They are light weight and utilize rolled threads rather then cut. Rolled threads are a much stronger thread. The material also adjusts easy because of the hex design. The hard anodized units function and look great. They provide a 360 degree, full-thread engagement around the inner and outer tie rod threads and are locked in position with jam nuts. When tightened, the jam nuts stop the sleeve from rotating. Use an open-end wrench to turn the sleeve for adjustments. Unlike the factory sleeves, no special tools are required to adjust them. They won’t come loose when tightened correctly and they help prevent any dirt or water from collecting in the thread, which can impair adjustments.
