Upper Control Arm Offset Billet Shafts for GM A-Body and F-Bodys Part #705
One of the keys to better tire life and performance on these older muscle cars is to increase caster and induce some static negative camber. These older cars roll positive, which means as the tire goes up into the fender, the tire tilts out of the fender at the top and increases outside tire wear. Therefore, by changing the static factory alignment settings from 1/2 a degree positive camber to a 1/2 of a degree static negative camber, dynamically you will reduce outside tire wear. Increasing the caster will also give you better tire life because of the camber change do to the combination of the spindle inclination angle and increased positive caster. Note: Caster is an indirect wearing condition where camber is a direct wearing condition. So increasing caster is going to help straight line stability, corner entry, and tire life.
