Description
When the shock is torque down and when the lower control arm swings in a arch as it travels up and down, the shock angle is changing because the hole in the frame is 3/8 and the shock shaft that goes through the frame is also 3/8. So the shock has no room for it to pivot and is applying a lot of load on the shock that are not necessary for side loads. To fix this you will need to drill out the 3/8 hole on the frame to a 11/16 hole and weld the concave washers on top and on the bottom of the frame. By doing this, the shock rubber cushions will self center the shock and not create side loads on the shaft which will help extended the life of the shock.
This kit comes with a 11/16 drill bit and 4 concave washers.
