Description
1030 is used with factory control arm shafts.
Global West manufactures Del-A-Lum upper arm bushings for 1955, 1956, and 1957 Belair, Nomad, and Chevy 210 (the Tri-Five models). The bushing press in the upper control arm and retain the stock shaft. In order to install the bushings proper prep work to the cross shaft is required. This particular kit requires installing studs at the ends of the upper arm shaft. Del-a-lum bushings require extending the length of the shaft because the bushing when assembled adjusts like a wheel bearing. A slotted hex nut and a cotter pin is used for adjusting and maintaining the pre-load on the bushing. A bolt will back out back out during suspension movement.
The difference between Del-a-lum bushings verses poly or for that matter stock, is their longevity and no squeaks. The bushings once installed will last for many years,at least 100,000 miles. They will not distort like rubber or polyurethane. They are a one time install, then forget about them.
Del-A-Lum bushings feature inner and outer thrust washers, inner rotating sleeve and lube fittings. This unique design provides smooth performance without squeaks or bind. Designed to last over 100,000 miles. Del-A-Lum bushings on the street or the track will give you optimum performance and control.
Welding is required with this kit.
