Global West Suspension supplies USA made front springs for 1967, 1968, 1969, and 1970 Mustangs. The S-27m spring has a rate of 640 pounds per inch. It is used mainly for used for handling applications such as autocross, road racing, and performance street. Note: The S-27m should not be used for drag racing. Product Information: The spring dimensions fit the standard spring saddle and shock tower spring mount. Adjusting the ride height can be achieved by trimming the coil spring on the full wire open side. The formula for trimming is 1/4 of a coil equals one inch of ride height. Mustangs with various updates such as motor changes, fiberglass fenders, hood, may require adjusts to the coil spring for setting the desired ride height. Trimming should be done with a band saw, or chop saw (abrasive wheel). A torch should never be used.
