Global West manufactures a 4-bar tubular export brace for the 1964, 1965, and 1966 Mustang. The brace attaches to the firewall with new flange bolts and nuts (furnished in the kit) to the firewall. The Global West Advantage: Tubular Export Brace This brace is designed to replace the Ford stamped steel brace. You will need to remove the factory spot-welded tabs on the side of the shock tower on 1964, 1965, and 1966 Mustangs. The 4-bar design is a rigid mount, this is required for maintaining tower integrity. There are no rod ends on the brace that allow deflection or can loosen. The finish of the bar is powder coated black. A support plate is also furnished that covers the firewall mounting location and sandwiches the firewall when the export brace is bolted into position. This strengthens the mounting at the firewall and since the four bar brace butts up to the firewall, the shock towers are firmly supported. The brace will work with the stock shock brackets and the Global West coilover kit. Global West also produces a Monte Carlo bar the crosses over the engine from tower to tower. The combination make a very rigid system engine bay support system.
