**Global West Suspensions does not recommend using any OEM lower control arm, not designed for coilover applications. We highly recommend using our control arms for coilover applications. Global West designed up a conical wound spring that installs in the factory spring perch and tapers down to a 2.5 inch adjusting nut on a QA-1 threaded shock body. The spring is linear (not variable) that is slightly stiffer than stock and is capable of supporting a big block. Since the ride height is adjustable, even if you have a LS motor, you can still set the ride height to 1 1/2 inches below stock. The coilover kit can fit on top of the stock lower control arm but Global West recommends using the tubular lower control arm that is stronger than stock. The material supporting the shock on Global West arm is increased just to handle coilover applications.
