Now you can add support to the rear upper frame (passenger side) cross-member for the 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964 Impala, El Camino, Biscayne, and Belair. This is where the rear upper control arm attaches to the frame. This area is weak on the Impala frame. With today's tires, the traction can place a lot of stress on this area. Installing Global West supports will help keep you from tearing this area up. The installation is simple but does require welding. Global West Suspension: Tech Info All Impala’s from 1959-1964 have a passenger side upper arm. Some cars with 409 engines also had a driver side upper arm making the Impala a four link. Global West also builds a driver side brace. It is a good idea to add strength wherever you can; adding both supports, even if you only have one upper arm, is a good idea.
