1967-1973 Mustang Leaf Spring Reverse Eye 2" Drop - # L-11R-2 (Sold as a Pair)
Global West Suspension manufactures 2 inch drop reverse eye leaf springs for 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, and 1973 Mustangs. Leaf spring bushings are not included with the leaf springs. You can use stock, polyurethane, or Del-a-lum bushings. Global West recommends using Del-a-lum bushings part number 101sh for the best results. The Del-a-lum bushing eliminates lateral movement and has provisions for lubrication. The kit comes with front and rear leaf spring bushings, frame bushings and shackles. The Global West Advantage: Reverse Eye Leaf Springs This particular leaf is designed is superior for controlling wheel hop and is highly recommended for 1967-1973 Mustangs with substantial horsepower; this spring is a reverse eye spring. Reverse eye refers to how the spring eye is wound at the spring bushing location. The leaf is wound so the main leaf winds over the top of the leaf rather than from underneath. The combination allows use to lower the car 2 inches and still keep a positive arch. The spring rate is 160 pounds. The leaf is used for street performance, autocross and drag racing. The spring is capable of handling well into the 400 on the ground horsepower. L-11R-2 leafs lower the rear end 2 inches from stock ride height. Note: This does not necessarily mean from where your car is now. Many times the originally leafs have sagged over the years so the measurement you are getting will not be accurate.
