This particular lower arm kit will fit 1967, 1968, 1969 Camaro and Firebird models plus 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, and 1974 Nova, Ventura, and Apollo applications. The standard spring pocket is removed and the arm is slimmed down in order to install a shock plate for the coilover application. The shock plate will support several brands including QA-1, Afco, and a host of others. The term coilover is when the spring rests on the shock body generally with a threaded adjustable collar. The collar can be adjusted up or down on the shock to adjust ride height or weight jack the chassis. No frame modifications are required.
