Billet Upper A-Arm (No Offset) Shaft for Chevelle, El Camino, Malibu, Monte Carlo 1964-1972 #709
Global West manufactures replacement upper control arm shafts for the front suspension of the Chevelle, El Camino, Malibu, Monte Carlo--model years 1964,1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, and 1972 . In the kit, hardware is supplied for securing the bushings in the control arm. The shafts are designed to fit the stock upper control arm and most aftermarket tubular arms. Global West makes the cross shafts out of billet steel; they are available in both offset and standard. (See part# 702 shafts for the offset shaft). The Global West Advantage: Global West performance shafts are highly recommended because the shafts has a 5/8 fine threaded locking nuts holding the bushing in the control arm, instead of a 3/8 bolt lock washer and nut. It is proven that using a bolt rather than a locking nut has a tendency to back out over time especially with performance bushings. If you are switching over to Del-A-Lum bushings, nut-type control arm shafts like part #709 or #702 shaft are required. Watch the product overview video above for more information.
