Global West Suspension manufactures tubular rear lower control arms (trailing arms) for Camaro (1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, and 1992 models). The arms are made out of two inch DOM tubing, jig fitted and tig welded. Round tubing is used because of its superior strength over boxed or square arms.Product Information:
- Spherical aircraft bearing are installed in the arm on the frame side and polyurethane bushings for the rear end side. The reason for this is because the panhard rod pushes and pulls the differential laterally.
- Polyurethane does not like moving laterally and places additional loads into the chassis mounting points. By installing a spherical bearing on the chassis side, the load additional load is totally removed.
- This control arm will work on all applications. The rear suspension will not bind because of the bearing installed on the frame side.
