62-67 NOVA AND CHEVY II

Solving alignment problems on Nova's is easy.
1. Kit # loc-2
, replaces the factory eccentric on the lower control arm with 4 special plates. The eccentric is used for setting camber. When the eccentric is turned the lower arm moves in or out changing camber (tilt of the tire). If the eccentric slips or rotates going over bumps, your alignment is lost. This is the cause of many worn tires. The Loc-2 kit has holes pre-drilled in them for setting camber. The kit allows for 6 different setting which is more than adequate for any Nova's alignment. When this kit is installed, camber will no longer change due to slippage. Loc-2 $49.95

2. Kit # SP-4, replaces both lower control arm bushings with spherical aircraft bearings. Lower control arm bushing deflect and eventually create loss of alignment. Changing out the lower control arm bushings to spherical bearings eliminate unwanted deflection, allows smooth pivot of the lower arm and controls alignment. wpe3.jpg (6587 bytes)

Part # SP-4 $169.72 Note: Sp-4 kit will not change your ride. Welding is required.

3. Kit # SRB-7, replaces standard strut rod bushings with higher density rubber bushings. Replacing these bushing help maintain alignment and improve straight line stability. We do not recommend poly bushings in this area because Nova strut rods are not strong enough to handle that stiff of a bushing.

Part # SRB-7 $322.53

Upper Control Arm Bushings: (Del-a-Lum Bushings)wpe2.jpg (3846 bytes)

Del-A-Lum bushings are a direct replacement for the upper control arm bushings.
They are perfect for street or drag race applications. Del-A-lum bushings feature inner and outer thrust washers, inner rotating sleeve, and lube fittings. This unique design provides smooth performance without squeaks or bind. Designed to last 120,000 miles Del-A-Lum bushing on the street or at the drags will give you optimum performance and control.

Billet Upper Control Arm Shafts:

Upper control arm shafts over time can rust and pit depending on where your cars resides. This can cause excessive clearance between the shaft and inner bushing sleeve. If this happens the control arm can have a slight shift during movement. Your alignment at that point can be compromised. The solution would be to replace the shafts. Global West manufactures replacement billet control arm shafts. They provide increased strength over the stock units and allow stock or any performance bushing to be used. The shafts also feature increased bolt diameter 1/2 inch over 7/16 for attaching the arm to the uni-body.

Tubular Tie Rod Adjusting Sleeves:

Tubular tie rod adjusting sleeves are available for 63-67 Nova's. Tubular sleeves offer full thread engagement over stock split sleeve units. Our units have flats machined into them for easy adjustment and jam nuts assure positive lock.adj-5.jpg (5756 bytes)

Simple disc brake conversion

Nova disc brake conversions came be easy with our DB-1010 kit. All you need is spindles off a donor car and 5 lug steering knuckle arms found on 64-67 Nova's . The upper ball joints off the donor cars have the same taper as your current upper ball joint. The lower ball joints will be handled by our kit. The kit comes with 2 ball joints, 2 ball joint housings, and 2 retaining rings. A little welding will be in order but no cutting of your lower control arm. Simply weld our ball joint housings into your lower control arms, press the ball joints into the housings, and install the retaining rings. It is just that easy. The list of the donor cars are: 67-69 Camaro/Firebird, 64-72 Chevelle, Olds Cutlass, Buick Skylark, Pontiac Lemans , basically all A-bodies and 68-74 Nova's. Part # DB-1010  includes lower ball joints. $99.95

Subframe Connectors

The more improvements you do to the vehicle, the more demands are put on the uni-body. Subframe connectors provide resistance to chassis flex and therefore increase the integrity of the chassis. They are a must for any performance application. Our subframe is built out of round 1 5/8 .125 wall roll cage tubing. The construction ties the floor support rails to the rear of the car, located at the leaf spring mount. Additional gussets are included in the kit which add support to the rear spring mount. Welding is required for installation. Our subframe will not interfere with the parking brake cable, no ground clearance is lost and they are powder coated black.

917.tif (172268 bytes)   Part # 917  $181.04

Notice: Bolt-on subframe connectors tend to loosen up at the attachment points and become inefficient. That is why all of our subframes require welding.

Rear Multi Leaf Springs:

Mono leaf springs tend to allow wheel tramp with high horse power cars. Traction bars and other devices can be added to the rear end which help the rear suspension. However the down side is loss of ground clearance. Our multi leaf spring design controls rear wheel tramp through the multiple leaf configuration. Thus eliminating the need for traction bars. The spring rate is slightly increased and ride height is reduced by one inch from stock height. Additional parts required for the leaf spring mono to multi conversion is kit Part #1036. Kit 1036 provides new upper spring pads, special spacers, bolts and related hardware.

Multi leaf springs sold in pairs only Part # L-9 $373.73
Mono to multi conversion kit Part # 1036 $65.65
