Global West Suspension manufactures light aluminum rear lower control arms for the 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972 Chevelle and other A-bodies (such as GTO, Grand Prix, Lemans, and Tempest). The lower arms are machined to accept a spherical bearing on the frame side and a Del-a-lum bushing and the rear end side. The arms are anodized black and then engraved for a eye catching look. The arms are assembled and lubricated before shipping. New hardware is also included. The Global West Advantage: Global West manufactured the aluminum arms to reduce un-sprung weight. The arms will not accept a factory rear sway bar. Instead if you need to run a rear sway bar, the company offers an adjustable rear sway bar that mounts to the rear end and attaches to the frame. Connecting the two lower arms together via the sway bar unloads the inside tire during cornering. Attaching the sway bar to the frame reduces that problem. Global West uses this particular arm on its autocross GTO and does not use a rear sway bar. A-bodies for handling do not need a rear bar.
