Part # 705 ------- Offset upper control arm shaft

705 shafts fit the following applications:

The offset shaft will fit stock control arms using standard type bushings for the stock arm. This includes rubber, polyurethane, and Global West Del-a-Lum bushings.

The purpose of using an offset shaft is for obtaining a proper alignment because of one of the following reasons:

  • Bent frame
  • Excessively lowered or raised
  • Sagging frame
  • Performance Alignment

Performance street

Generally speaking for all applications: When installing offset shafts--- install the offset so the tire will be pushed out of the fender, away from the motor.

Except on road racing applications.

 

Note: The shaft on the left is a straight shaft (standard)

The shaft on the right is offset #705. The offset shows a
shift to the left. That should be towards the wheel.
