Comments: 82-02 Camaro and Firebirds have a tendency to pick up more road noise from the rear suspension. This is because the mounting location of the rear arm. By using a rubber bushing on the rear end side, we isolate possible rear end  noise transferring through the tube. The ride remains quiet. A spherical bearing is used on the body side rather than a rubber bushing because performance rubber bushings will restrict rear end movement.  The bearing provides a smooth ride with great fore and aft control. Fore and aft control is something the stock lower control arm bushings could  not provide.

Comments: This control arm design is not recommended for the street or road racing. If it is used for these applications, the rear suspension is placed in a bind as the body rolls during cornering and also during uneven bumps. You may even notice a  harsher ride especially over bumps. This is bind . The car will also have a hard time placing power to the ground during corner exit.
Consequences:
High speed oversteer

Note:  Control arms are shipped pre-assembled.

Comments: This control arm will work in all applications. Because a spherical bearing is being used in the control arm the polyurethane is ok for most performance applications. This control arm is good for an all around improvement.
