Stage Four Autocross 1967-69 Camaro / Firebird

(Small block or Big block)

Typically Aggressive Street and Autocross applications use the same components. The possible exception would be using higher front spring rates and adjustable shocks (double versus single). Autocross alignment and shock settings are quite different, for example, if you use an Autocross alignment setting on the street, you will wear the front tires out quickly. Some customers have two different sets of front springs allowing them to change back to a street application. This makes the coil-over very appealing because the springs are easily interchanged.

Stage Four is geared towards (handling), road racing or auto-crossing. We do not recommend using Stage Four on the street because of ride harshness. Tubular upper and lower control arms are used here. Aggressive alignment settings are also used. Stage Four provides benefits in the following areas:

  • Provides straight-line stability.
  • Dramatically changes corner entry response.
  • Controls alignment.
  • Reduces nose-dive during braking.
  • Improves rear axle control through leaf spring design and bushing system.
  • Ride height is lowered 1-inch.
  • Improves chassis stiffness.
