The factory strut rod is a fixed length and comes with rubber bushings and it uses a eccentric for setting camber. When the eccentric is turned, the strut rods moves in or out changing camber (the tilt of the tire). If the eccentric slips or rotates going over bumps, under hard braking or, acceleration the camber will move. The more changes you have in camber will cause changes the footprint, which will affect how the car responds. Losing your alignment can quickly cause worn tires and have an oversteer condition. With this kit, we replace the eccentric bolt and cam with plates. Each plate has three holes drilled in it and are numbered for different offsets. By flipping the plate you can get six different positions for alignment which is more than adequate. The beauty of the plate system is that they cannot slip. This kit also comes with a block which is a spacer for the rear suspension. The spacer changes the location of the inner pivot point for the strut rod. We adjust for camber with the adjustable strut rods and the alignment is maintained once it is set. This kit will keep more tire on the ground for all types of application, street, drag race, and autocross. You will have better tire life, traction, and corning ability.
